Free Fall Cleanup Assistance Available through Eastside Senior Services

Are you or is someone you know over age 60 and needs help with fall yard cleanup?

Contact Eastside Senior Services to request FREE help!

 

In collaboration with UW-Milwaukee students and area higher education communities, students volunteer to help our community with Fall season preparation, such as raking leaves, cleaning up gardens, and winterizing.

How it works:
● Call Eastside Senior Services by Monday, October 14th to RSVP
● Provide your name, address, and phone number
● Let us know the work needed done, your approximate lot size, and whether or not you have tools available for tasks requested
● Eastside Senior Services will contact you a few days prior to service and confirm
● A student team will arrive at your home between 9am to 1pm on Saturday 11/9

HWTN Meeting Program – Wednesday, September 4th
Jonathan Jackson, Chief Executive Officer & Artistic Director of Milwaukee Film, will provide information and updates about the Oriental Theater and the Milwaukee Film organization in general.

We endeavor to start the monthly program at 7:45 p.m. sharp, so that those who are only interested in hearing the program can plan accordingly.  There is no issue with entering or departing the meeting while the board meeting or program is under way.

2019 Downer Classic Bike Races

Historic Downer Avenue is home to one of the most famous urban criterium courses in the country. Global in reach and extremely local in flavor, The Cafe Hollander Downer Classic Pro Criterium promises to be one of the highlights of cycling in Wisconsin this summer. The full day of racing, Saturday, June 29th, 2019, also features a popular kids’ race, a Belgian Beer Festival, the famous Ben’s Cyclery “Super Prime,” as well as a full slate of racing all afternoon and evening. Food, beer, and family fun complement the twilight pro race that promises to bring pro teams and riders from around the world.
