Join Jen Davel from the Wisconsin State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) as we delve into topics relating to historic preservation in Superior and the 25% tax credit available to all eligible repair and restoration projects on certified historic residential properties in Wisconsin. Jen will explain what makes a project and property eligible for the program and will guide us step-by-step through the online application process.

Jen Davel currently serves as the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer at the Wisconsin Historical Society; she has previously served as a preservation architect here for the past 10 years. During this time, she was responsible for certifying commercial and residential tax credit projects for conformance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. After studying architecture at the University of Minnesota, she went on to receive her Master’s in Architecture degree with a Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee in 2001.
