The HWTN Utility Expansion Committee will update members about an April 26 meeting on the issue with top City of Milwaukee and We Energies officials.

HWTN passed a resolution in February opposing “the use of commercial/industrial utility poles inside of our historic area” and calling on “the City of Milwaukee and We Energies to formalize a working partnership with HWTN in planning remediation of the existing damage” and “planning how to avoid further damage to this historic neighborhood as the We project moves further north through Historic Water Tower Neighborhood and the Downer Avenue area.”

Other agenda items include votes for president elect and a nominating committee, and an update on discussions with Milwaukee County about the future of the historic pedestrian bridge over Ravine Road.

The meeting, which is open to the public, takes place in the Marcia Coles Community Room of Lake Park, below Lake Park Bistro. Cookies and coffee courtesy of Lake Park Bistro will be available starting at 6:45 p.m.
