Archives for December 2014 tells story of HWTN-sponsored monument

Ever wonder about the four historic-looking street lights in a grouping at the corner of Lake Drive, Windsor Place and Lafayette Place?‘s Bobby Tanzilo explains their history in a recent article.

Oh, and our very own Historic Water Tower Neighborhood (then known as Water Tower Landmark Trust) figures prominently in the story.

Open Forum at Jan. 14, 2015, Meeting: HWTN Priorities for 2015

Our first monthly meeting takes place Wednesday Jan. 14 at 7 p.m., and instead of hearing a speaker, we’ll be seeking input from HWTN members and trustees about HWTN projects, programs and priorities for 2015.

What are you concerned about in the neighborhood? Is there a project or activity you think HWTN should take on? What do you want to see in programs and events during the coming year? Plan to discuss yuor ideas and hear those of fellow members.

We meet in the Marcia Coles Community Room at Lake Park (beneath Bartolotta’s Lake Park Bistro, which kindly fuels our meetings with complimentary coffee and cookies). Come around 6:45 p.m. if you’d like to mingle and chat before we start.
